எகிப்திய அதிபர் ஹோஸ்னி முபாரக் பதவி விலக வேண்டுமெனக் கூறி ஆர்ப்பாட்டம் செய்துவருபவர்கள், அரசாங்கத்தின் ஊரடங்கு உத்தரவையும் மீறி கெய்ரோவின் வீதிகளில் ஆயிரக்கணக்கில் கூடி போராட்டங்களை நடத்தியுள்ளனர்.

கெய்ரோ, அலெக்ஸாந்திரியா சூயெஸ் போன்ற நகரங்களில் ஞாயிறு காலை வரை இந்த ஊரடங்கு உத்தரவு நீட்டிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

உள்துறை அமைச்சக அலுவலகத்துக்கு வெளியே ஆர்ப்பாட்டக்காரர்களுக்கும் பாதுகாப்புப் படையினருக்கும் இடையே மோதல்கள் எழுந்திருந்தன. உயிர்ச் சேதம் ஏற்பட்டதாகவும் தகவல்கள் தெரிவிக்கின்றன.

 Das Verbrechen des „Verschwindenlassens“ untergräbt die srilankische Gesellschaft schon seit Jahrzehnten. So wurden nach Angaben der prominenten Asian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) bereits in den späten Achtziger und Neunziger Jahren des vergangenen Jahrhunderts 36.000 Fälle gewaltsamen Verschwindens dokumentiert, allein in den vergangenen fünf Jahren erhöhte sich diese unerhörte Zahl um mehrere hundert Personen. In den meisten Fällen werden dafür staatliche „Sicherheitskräfte“ und eng mit der Regierung verbundene Paramilitärs verantwortlich gemacht, oft aber auch in kriminellem Eigeninteresse handelnde Privatpersonen.
Im folgenden dokumentieren wir dazu die Zusammenfassung einer Studie, die Human Rights Watch (HRW) bereits 2008 veröffentlicht hat. Anzumerken bleibt allerdings, dass die in der Studie erwähnten, ihrerseits ebenfalls für methodisches “Verschwindenlassen” verantwortlichen RebellInnen der Liberation Tiger of Tamil Eelam (LTTE)  von der srilankischen Armee 2009 endgültig vernichtet wurden – in einem blutigen, mit äußerster Brutalität geführten Krieg, dem allein in seiner letzten Phase bis zu 40.000 Menschen zum Opfer fielen. +++  The crime of “forced disappearances” undermines the srilankan society since decades.
